Chelsea’s Spanish duo Alvaro Morata and Cesar Azpilicueta are the Premier League’s most deadly duo. Of Morata’s six goals so far in the blue of Chelsea, four have come as a result of an assist provided by his Spanish compatriot Azpilicueta. The fleet footed defender has established a knack of capitalising upon his attacking capabilities and driving forward in order to pick out the club’s new target man.
Morata bagged a sublime hat-trick in Chelsea’s recent trip to Stoke, with his ever reliable team-mate pitching it with his efforts. It took just two minutes for Azpilicueta to pick out Morata with a long range ball, splitting the Stoke defence in half and playing the striker through on goal. Morata added a second of his own accord but it was Azpilicueta again who would help him complete his hat-trick, chesting down the ball inside the area for the 24-year-old to lash home in the dying moments.
