Man United set to hijack another Chelsea transfer
According to The Sun, Manchester United are set to hijack Chelsea’s pursuit of AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Bakayoko’s transfer to Chelsea seemed like a foregone conclusion, and many of us were just awaiting official confirmation. However, it looks as though we may have hit a bump in the road, and Man United have taken full advantage.
As per The Sun, Monaco grew frustrated with the speed of Chelsea’s negotiations to sign Bakayoko, or rather lack there of, and the deal has subsequently stalled.
The tabloid believe that if United are unable to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, they will turn to Bakayoko.
It would be the second time in the space of a week that Jose Mourinho has swooped in and stolen a player from his former employers, after the Red Devils agreed a deal to sign Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku.
Let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed that the deal still goes through.

Chelsea target wants to leave Real Madrid in next 48 hours
Chelsea are interested in signing Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, who is pushing for a move away from Los Blancos, according to AS.
AS report that Rodriguez has asked his agent to seal his exit from the Bernabeu in the next 48 hours, as he does not want to be on the plane that jets off to the USA for Real Madrid’s pre-season tour.
As per AS, Chelsea are very interested in signing Rodriguez, but will face stern competition from both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. He will not come cheap, either, as the Spanish outlet note that Real Madrid will demand a fee in the region of £61M if they are to be convinced to part with him this summer.

Tiemoue Bakayoko drops major hint that Chelsea transfer is close
Has Tiemoue Bakayoko just dropped a major hint that he will be joining Chelsea this summer?
There has been continuous suggestions in the past weeks and months that the Premier League champions are in talks with AS Monaco to negotiate the transfer of Bakayoko, and it looks as though it may now be close to completion.
As is the modern world, social media often proves to be a platform for footballers to communicate with their fans, and send fans of other clubs into complete meltdown.
Bakayaoko has done exactly that, by liking a post on Chelsea’s official Instagram page. Plot-twist, he doesn’t even follow them.

Chelsea set to kick-off summer spend with £95M double signing
Chelsea will complete a £95M double signing this week, according to The Sun.
The Sun believe that AS Monaco midfield general Tiemoue Bakayoko is on the verge of moving to the Premier League giants, with the Blues set to part with £35M in order to secure his signature.
Bakayoko was influential in Monaco’s success last season, his inclusion in the UEFA Champions League team of the season is testament to just how impressive he was. If The Sun are to be believed, he is going to be given the chance to replicate that good form in England’s top flight next term.
The Frenchman is not the only player who will join Chelsea next week. As per The Sun, Alex Sandro is also expected to complete a £60M move from Juventus.
Sandro is widely considered one of the best full-backs on the planet, so it would be a real statement signing if it goes through.
It is exciting times for everyone with any affiliation with Chelsea.

Former Chelsea starlet departed as he feared he would never get a chance
Former Chelsea attacker Bertrand Traore has some pretty damning things to say about his ex-employers, report the Mirror.
Traore spent the previous campaign out on loan with Ajax in the Eredivisie. After a successful campaign at the Amsterdam Arena, it still seemed unlikely that he would get any considerably opportunities in Antonio Conte’s side, and he was subsequently sold to Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
Upon his arrival in France, Traore spoke of his reasoning to depart Chelsea, the club that have watched him develop since he was just 16-years-old. The Mirror quote Traore, and it doesn’t look as though he enjoyed his time in West London:
“I could have stayed at Chelsea and played a few minutes in every game, fighting every day for a spot, knowing that I’ll never get a spot, I trained at the club, I did everything.”
Very few could argue with the Burkina Faso international’s stern words. Youngsters are continuously deemed not good enough by the club’s hierarchy, despite showing plenty of promise out on loan. It is in Chelsea’s DNA to discard youngsters and invest in the transfer market, Traore is just the latest victim of that.

Man City and PSG join Chelsea in race to sign Juventus star
Chelsea’s proposed deal to sign Juventus left-back does not appear to be as close to completion as first thought.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday afternoon that Sandro was on the brink of moving to Stamford Bridge for a £61M fee, which would make him the most expensive defender in the history of the game.
However, the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported to the contrary, and it doesn’t make for fond reading from a Chelsea perspective.
According to Di Marzio, Chelsea will face competition from both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Sandro this summer.
There also is no guarantee that he will leave Turin, as Di Marzio reports that there is still a possibility that he will opt to stay with the Serie A champions.
Many of us may be guilty of getting ahead of ourselves here. Let’s wait for something more concrete to emerge.

AS Monaco midfield general set for Chelsea medical ahead of £35M move
Chelsea are now, finally, on the verge of signing AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to Goal.
Goal believe that the France international is set to undergo a medical with the Premier League champions, and he could be unveiled as a Chelsea player late next week.
Goal report that negotiations between Chelsea and Monaco have not been straightforward, and did not progress as the Blues hierarchy would have hoped. However, it is reported that both clubs have agreed a fee in the region of £35M, and the transfer is finally going to be completed.
Nemanja Matic’s future at the Stamford Bridge, as Goal report, has now come into question, with Premier League rivals Manchester United thought to be in pole position to sign the Serb.
This is not the time to worry about where Matic may go next, however, we appear to be set to sign one of the most exciting young midfielders on the planet.

Chelsea youngster completes £16M move to French giants
Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore appears to have completed his transfer to Lyon.
The below photo, which was circulated on Twitter, shows Traore being presented in the kit of his new employers, which confirms that his time as a Chelsea player has come to an end.
Football London reported yesterday that Traore flew into France on Saturday night to finalise his transfer to the Ligue 1 giants, and it now looks as though the deal has been sealed.
As per Football London Chelsea will receive a fee in the region of £16M in exchange for Traore. You wouldn’t put it past us re-signing him for triple that in a few years, he has the potential to go to the very top of the game.
It seems to be a recurring theme at Chelsea, sign a young player, send them out on loan and watch them develop, before cashing-in and reaping the financial rewards. What a shame.

Chelsea reach agreement with AS Monaco for £35M transfer
Chelsea are on the verge of signing AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to RMCSport.
RMCSport report that the Premier League champions have agreed a fee in the region of £35M with AS Monaco for the purchase of Bakayoko. The French international is said to be expected in London early next week to undergo a medical and officially become Chelsea’s first signing of the summer.
As per RMCSport, Bakayoko is set to sign a five-year contract with Chelsea, which means he will be tied down with the Blues until he is 27-years-old. He certainly has the potential to stay even beyond that, and etch his name into the Chelsea hall of fame.
Signing Bakayoko would be a great start to what is likely to be an eventful summer. At 22, he’s only going to get better, and under Antonio Conte’s stewardship, and playing alongside N’Golo Kante – he couldn’t have a better platform to showcase his talent.

Chelsea set to sign AS Monaco star with midfielder heading for Man Utd
Chelsea are close to signing AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, which could see Nemanja Matic join Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail believe that Antonio Conte made it clear to the Chelsea hierarchy that he wanted Bakayoko this summer, and it looks as though the Italian is about to have his wish granted.
As per the Daily Mail, Bakayoko is on the verge of becoming a Chelsea player, with the Premier League champions parting with £35M to secure his signature.
Bakayoko’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail, could force Matic towards the exit door. The tabloid report that if Conte is able to get his man, he would be willing to listen to offers for Matic.
The Daily Mail report that Manchester United are waiting in the wings to sign the Serb if Chelsea do decide to cash-in. Should we really be selling a player of his quality to a direct rival?
